A parent and family asked the board to intervene after they said a 15-year-old student who completed required corrective steps was still blocked from returning to Bluffton High School.
"We would like for you all to put that on your agenda and be able to listen to both sides of the story," Rentley Kitty told the board during the public-comment period, asking for a formal follow-up. Family members said they had completed the prescribed steps and reached out to school officials by email but had not received a satisfactory response.
Board leaders said they could not respond during the public comment period but that administration would be asked to follow up. The family said they would like a meeting to present the full context and to secure reinstatement for the student.
