Committee members reported 26,012 total maintenance work orders to date and 21,029 completed. North-of-the-Broad average days to complete work orders fell from 3.46 to 2.67; South-of-the-Broad averages fluctuated month-to-month but dropped to 2.76 in May. Custodial inspections (665) averaged a district score of 85.6, and vendors were commended for graduation support.
On bond referendums, the committee said 2019 paid-and-committed funds totaled $373.7 million (99.48% spent) with remaining available funds including contingency at $1,940,000; the 2023 referendum showed $183.8 million paid/committed (41.88%) and $255.1 million remaining (58.12%), with a program contingency of $11,740,000 as of May 2025. May River Elementary received a permit but was awaiting a final signature; silt fences were up and site work had begun.
The committee also noted staffing improvements (an open locksmith position filled) and scheduled an informational meeting to revisit 8% capital spending.
