Board members questioned legal risk and timing, noting state counsel and the ABCC historically determine whether multiple license categories can coexist at a single address. Staff flagged that town counsel’s formal advice had not yet been received but that the ABCC’s decision would be controlling. After discussion, a board member moved to authorize the town administrator’s office to distribute the application and related documents to the ABCC and to authorize digital signatures if needed; the motion passed on a roll-call vote. The board then closed the public hearing.
