The Board of Finance heard updates on several road projects impacting Beacon Falls. First Selectman G. Smith said the Century, Maple and Division paving project was awarded to low bidder M. Rondano, who has worked in the area previously; reference checks conducted by Finance Manager N. Nau were positive and neighboring towns report few change orders from the contractor. Church Street remains in finalization with the engineer and Colonna, with a punch list that includes drainage and curbing issues.
G. Smith also said CT Water received approval to proceed with a water‑line replacement on Andrasko, after which the town will complete paving there. The Railroad Station platform renovation is set to begin on July 21, 2026; materials are being staged and buses will serve the line while the platform is rebuilt, with hoped‑for completion by Fall 2027. West Road is closed out and the town is applying to the state for STEAP reimbursement; Pamanata and Moeller View will be paved using speed camera funds and purchase orders to the paving contractor have been issued.
