Committee moves two measures, schedules public hearings for early December

The Committee on Executive Administration and Labor moved committee reports in print for two items — Bill 26-233 (Petition Administration Clarification Amendment Act of 2025) and PR 26-359 (Peter Winkler confirmation) — and approved the motion by voice vote during its Nov. 25 additional meeting. Chair Anita Bonds asked for affirmation and, hearing no opposition, declared the measures passed.
Bonds closed the meeting and announced the committee's next public hearing will be Thursday, Dec. 4 at 11 a.m., both via Zoom and in person in Room 123, to consider Bill 26-326 (District employee paid parental, family, and medical leave amendment act of 2025) and Bill 26-428 (Youth Work Permit and Employment Protection Act of 2025). She said individuals may register to testify or submit testimony by visiting lems.dccouncil.gov/hearings, that witnesses must register by 5 p.m. Tuesday, 12/02/2025 to testify live, and that the record will close at 5 p.m. on Thursday, 12/18/2025.
