A committee member who asked questions (identified in the transcript as Councilmember Grama) said, "Peter Winkler is somebody who I have known for a number of years and is eminently qualified and paid for this position," endorsing his qualifications as the committee considered moving the nomination forward. The committee moved PR 26-359 into committee reports with leave for staff to make technical changes and approved the motion by voice vote.
