During the Feb. 25 meeting, Lucas Haire reported several retail and service projects advancing in Canal Winchester. Kroger is holding a ceremonial groundbreaking on March 6 and is targeting a November opening; Culver's is under construction on Gender Road and is targeting a mid-summer opening.
A new 6,553-square-foot Sun Auto Tire & Service was approved for the corner of Diley Road and Meijer Drive; the addition will connect Meijer Drive to Hill Road and add a left-turn lane. Casto was approved to construct an 11,094-square-foot retail building at Waterloo Crossing Shopping Center that will be occupied by Five Below with another tenant space available. Wal‑Mart received approval for an addition that will relocate online pickup to the east side, a whole-store remodel and a new interior Dunkin Donuts in the order-fulfillment area.
