The Mayor reminded families that Gardner Public Schools will reopen for grades 1–12 on Monday, Aug. 31 and that kindergarten orientation is scheduled by last-name: Aug. 26 (A–L) and Aug. 27 (M–Z). She added that "the 1st day of kindergarten will be Tuesday, September 1."
The Mayor also reminded residents that the state primary election is on Tuesday, Sept. 1, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. She listed five polling locations across the city: Ward 1 at the Elks; Ward 2 at the library; Ward 3 at Perry Auditorium in City Hall (noting Perry Auditorium will be used even if windows are not fully installed); Ward 4 at the Gardner Police Station Community Room; and Ward 5 at the Gardner Polish American Citizens Club on Kendall Pond Road West.
