Case 1641, filed for Dustin L. and Carol E. Barnes, received unanimous approval from the Preble County Rural Zoning Commission. Agent Stephen Pope presented a plan to divide approximately 42.403 acres along Enterprise Road into a north tract of about 21.9 acres (containing the existing home and outbuildings) and a south tract of about 21.374 acres intended for sale and a proposed new single‑family home.
Dustin Barnes spoke in support, confirming ongoing agricultural use: “I currently farm all of Joe’s ground around me, and there’s gonna be no new fences built... everything’ll stay in cow pasture.” The board approved the application 4–0; the case will be forwarded to the County Commissioners for the scheduled April 1 hearing.
