Commission forwards Hundley Farms 5.001‑acre split to commissioners after 3–1 vote

On March 3 the Preble County Rural Zoning Commission considered Case 1640, an application by Stephen A. Pope as agent for Hundley Farms, Ltd., to separate two residences and outbuildings onto a new 5.001‑acre tract from a 36.408‑acre agricultural parcel along US 40 in Monroe Township. Pope said the split separates improvements from farmland and that no new improvements were planned for the remaining acreage.
Board members discussed the parcel’s history and potential shared utilities. Trustee Lloyd Lee stated that some houses had been rented and that the property had long family ownership. The board voted 3–1 to approve the split; John Toschlog cast the lone No vote. The motion will be forwarded to the County Commissioners for an April 1 hearing.
