The motion passed unanimously. Supervisors Kathleen Lonergan, Arthur Rhodes, Carol Vaughan, Michael Walsh and Stephen Putman voted yes.
The approval followed public comments from resident Don Brothers, who said the tree and a nearby debris pile had been damaged by recent hurricanes and posed a hazard to nearby homes; Supervisor Stephen Putman inspected and photographed the site earlier the same day. The board had discussed A‑Z’s proposals, including a $350 clean‑up and a $5,475 forestry mulch option for other sites, before selecting the $600 stump‑grind for the property identified by residents.
