Heritage Pines approves additional cleanup at parcel 33, board to inspect wetland constraints

The board approved a proposal for additional cleanup at parcel 33, including perimeter cleanup, removal of dead trees and mulching, and accepted an optional scope for weed-whacker work on a dry retention slope. "Mr. Heath stated there is a natural wetland in the center of the area; on the western side there is some separate excavated retention area," the minutes record; he also said the south side is difficult to mow with equipment.
Mr. Adams said the invoice will be paid upon completion. Ms. Vaughan noted mulch had been installed and questioned whether mulch or brown bark wood chips were cheaper; Tim Gatz, the HPCA grounds superintendent, said the wood chips are free. The board approved the proposal on a motion by Mr. Walsh, seconded by Mr. Putman, with all in favor.
