District Manager Chuck Adams presented the unaudited financial statements as of Aug. 31, 2024 and the board voted to accept them on Oct. 15.
Adams noted the district is opening a BankUnited Insured Cash Sweep (ICS) account to invest General Fund surplus. During discussion, Michael Walsh asked whether SOLitude could be asked to compensate the district for what he characterized as poor performance. Adams said, "I will contact SOLitude, as I think it is reasonable to hold them 50% responsible." The board accepted the unaudited statements on a motion that passed unanimously.
The discussion did not produce a formal claim for damages or a dollar figure to seek from SOLitude; Adams will contact the vendor and report back to the board.
