Village manager reports staffing progress, 150th events and municipal banking review

Megan Haselden, Calumet Village Manager, told trustees at the April 8 work session that interviews for an Office Assistant are underway and she hopes to make a hiring decision by the end of next week. She said the Village’s 150th incorporation celebration drew about 40 people and that planning for additional anniversary events continues, with the next planning session scheduled for April 22.
Haselden also said she is collecting information from banks to compare municipal banking products and services so the Village can select appropriate financial services. The updates were delivered as part of the Manager’s regular report; no formal votes were taken on staffing or banking at the work session.
