Sutton Select Board approves minutes, hires energy project manager and awards mowing contract

The Sutton Select Board met April 24, 2025, and took several administrative and operational actions including approving the March 20 minutes and the Treasurer’s Report for April 24.
The board received a delinquent tax report and authorized Minutes Clerk Mary Gray to hire an attorney to advance a proposed delinquent tax sale. Energy Committee member Dana Patoine told the board the committee needs a project manager to oversee the town office energy grant; following discussion the board voted to hire Norbert Patoine as project manager, with member Denis Royer recording an abstention due to a conflict. The board also adopted the Local Emergency Management Plan (LEMP) annual policy and appointed Adam Bruggeman as Sutton’s NEKWMD supervisor.
On procurement, one bid for roadside mowing was received from Jason Mitchell Contracting at $11,200.00; the board voted to accept the bid. The Select Board recommended advertising for sand bids for 3,500 yards to be opened at the May 2025 meeting. Highway Foreman Shane Heath reported vehicle maintenance needs, including a loose plow frame and a sand screen that requires welding. The meeting concluded with review of invoices and warrants and adjournment at 6:58 PM.
