Council approves Lions Club Candy Day permit for Oct. 9 (rain date Oct. 16)

Clerk Sarah presented a request from the Lions Club to hold its annual Candy Day fundraiser on Friday, Oct. 9 from 3–6 p.m. at the downtown intersections of Route 113 and Routes 53 and 129, with Friday, Oct. 16 as a rain date.
"They're submitting a request for the council to approve for them to have their annual, Lions Candy Day..." the clerk said. A council member moved, another seconded and the council voted to approve the permit request without recorded opposition.
Staff will process necessary permits and notify police and public-works crews of the planned intersection staffing for the event.
