Mayor introduced a proposed 'City of Braidwood Good Neighbor Fund' intended to provide limited financial assistance to residents experiencing temporary financial hardship for essential property-related expenses.
"The purpose of the Good Neighbor Fund is to provide limited financial assistance to eligible, City Of Braidwood residents who are experiencing financial difficulties and require assistance with certain essential property related expenses," the mayor said. He said staff would solicit donations from local businesses, organizations and residents to seed the program and thanked the staff member who started the idea.
