The Board of County Commissioners approved a one-time grant of $125,000 to Home Again St. Johns to support Veterans' Village, authorizing the county administrator to enter into a funding agreement on behalf of the county.
Commissioner Christian Whitehurst reported the request from Veterans’ Village and moved to suspend Board Rule 4.304 regarding funding limitations to permit the grant; the motion to suspend the rule and the subsequent funding motion passed 4-0 with Commissioner Krista Joseph absent. County Administrator Joy Andrews clarified the funding will come from General Fund Reserves.
