Residents press board to address full recycling bins and pickup delays

A resident who identified herself as Laura raised repeated occasions when the town recycling bins were full and suggested reinstating a protocol where one bin remains closed until another fills, allowing sequential pickups. "Over the last month, a couple of times, I've gone over to the recycling, and it's been full," she said, and asked the board to re-examine current collection procedures.

Board members and other residents reported scheduling problems after changes in hauler ownership and long hold times to arrange pickups; Jeremy (introduced during the meeting) and others described waiting multiple days for service after the vendor change. The board said it would follow up with haulers and consider other vendor options and operational fixes such as zip-tie management on dumpsters to reduce overflow.
