The Select Board approved the town's local emergency management plan and authorized submission to the state to restore compliance. S8 told the board the plan "is time sensitive, so it's important for us to do this tonight," and the board voted in favor by voice vote.
Plan author S13 cautioned that the document contains private contact information and offered to redact phone numbers and personal data before broader distribution: "I should ask also that to not release this plan to anybody until I get the redactions because there's personal and private information in there for our contacts." The board agreed to those redactions and to sign and transmit the plan after the edits. With the vote the town moved from being a week out of compliance to having an approved plan on file for state review.
The board noted the plan is an overview and will require additional elements (shelter guidance, incident-specific response details) to be added later. Staff were asked to add a date and sign the version submitted to the state.
