County accepts nearly $20 million in FEMA funds for North Ponte Vedra Beach repairs after Hurricane Milton

Emergency Management Director Joe Giammanco summarized the project scope and eligibility for federal and state assistance. The resolution recognizes up to $19,786,690 in a Department of Homeland Security FEMA grant and up to $3,297,782 in State grant funds; the Board also authorized transfers of $2,119,489 from PV Beach Restoration reserves and $1,178,293 from PV Restoration Department appropriations to meet the county share for the project. There was no public comment on the item and the vote was 5-0.
Staff said project design, permitting and execution costs would be covered under the identified grants where eligible, and that the county share would be covered by departmental reserves and appropriations authorized at this meeting.
