Chair told the board the town received a $48,000 VTrans municipal stormwater scoping-study grant for an East Hill Road culvert scoping study and asked for a motion to authorize Nick to sign the project commitment so VTrans can proceed with the larger grant agreement. Chair said the town's share would be $12,000 (a 50/50 match referenced elsewhere for other projects) and that the VTrans paperwork could take at least eight months to complete.
Board members discussed which culvert should be prioritized; the road foreman (Jeremy) recommended the culvert below Holt Farm on East Hill Road as the priority because it has repeatedly undermined the road. The motion to authorize signing the project commitment passed by voice vote.
