The town expects to use a 50/50 grant match; the board said it was awarded $88,000 for the project.
Board members discussed whether the grant requires taking the lowest bid; the chair said the grant did not require the town to choose the lowest bid and described the town's bidding process. A motion to award the contract to Michael Longo for $12,400 passed by voice vote; the tree warden stated an abstention because of his role.
