Board members emphasized the finance office transition team should begin work immediately because of the recent treasurer resignation; the Chair and select board volunteers agreed to drive the work while soliciting interested public members. Several members also supported forming an IT committee and noted the state had available cybersecurity funding that towns could access for services or equipment if the town develops a plan.
Committee authorization passed by voice vote. The board said it will advertise committee openings, solicit volunteers and return names for formal appointment, and that the finance transition team will be prioritized to ensure continuity of financial services.
