The West Valley City Council approved four consent items in a single motion on July 28, voting unanimously to adopt the package. The items included an interlocal agreement with Salt Lake County for substance-abuse-prevention funding; authorization for Kennington and Christiansen to provide auditing services to the city; a franchise agreement with Forged Fiber 37, LLC; and acceptance of a purchase agreement and an associated easement.
The mayor introduced the consent agenda and a council member moved to approve all four items together. "We have 4 items on our consent agenda this evening," the mayor said before the motion and unanimous vote. No council member requested separate consideration of any single item during the meeting.
