Under the county’s Business Incentive Program the project scored four points, making it eligible for expedited permitting and a reimbursement incentive covering up to 50% of county fees and two years of ad valorem taxes on capital improvements. Valliere said "the total estimated value of the incentive is $49,362."
Commissioner Krista Joseph expressed support for moving ahead; the Board voted to instruct the county attorney to draft an economic development incentive agreement for consideration at a future meeting. Project completion was anticipated in the first quarter of 2027 and staff estimated the first incentive payment would occur in FY28.
