Board OKs parent math workshop with $14,000 LCAP funding

The Richland Governing Board approved a Memorandum of Understanding with the Parent Institute for Quality Education (PIQE) to deliver the Family Math Together parent workshop during October–November 2025.
Mrs. Hernandez described the program as an eight-week series (Oct. 1–Nov. 19, 2025) with a graduation ceremony for parents who meet attendance requirements. The district will fund the $14,000 cost from LCAP grant funds and coordinate the program through the Parent Center. The motion to approve passed unanimously (5–0).
