County approves overtime pay for flood response and several contracts; auditor reports large invoices

The county auditor presented invoices for payment totaling $1,508,076.16 and late bills of $521,109.16; both sets were approved by the court. The court also approved five budget amendments and accepted internal audit reports for animal control and Justice of the Peace precinct 2.
A planned inmate health services contract renewal with Wellpath LLC was discussed but deferred so the sheriff could return with clarified cost terms; the sheriff said he expects a lower CPI on the renewal and will present the contract at a future meeting.
