Select Board approves Friends’ July 4 decorations for Town Hall

The Townshend Select Board voted to allow the Friends of the Town Hall to install decorations for July 4 using two of the five sample designs submitted to the board. A member moved to approve Corey Sicklin’s plan and the board approved the motion by voice vote.
The board clarified the group will cover all labor and materials and asked them to ensure that no decorations or packing materials were left on the town porch after the holiday. “If those are the decorations he's using, that would be my motion to accept,” a member said when moving the approval. Board members noted that leftover materials from prior seasons should be collected before new decorations are installed. The Chair called for a voice vote and the motion passed.
