Staff asked that at least three council members be available on Thursday, Feb. 5 to review a request for qualifications (RFQ) and recommend a contractor for removal of invasive trees under a Department of Natural Resources grant. Staff said the work is grant-funded and will be reimbursed.
"We have a grant through, DNR to take out some invasive trees. We're gonna put a RFQ out for a contractor. The tree board will make a recommendation. I just need you guys to go," a staff member said, asking for volunteer availability. The staff member also noted the council should schedule time to discuss the town's smart goals, and councilors agreed to plan follow-up sessions.
