County Auditor Madison Garden said, "Out of 13,988 registered voters, 3,504 ballots were cast or a total of 25.05% turn out." Garden reported the party breakdown as 2,999 Republican ballots and 505 Democratic ballots.
Vice Chair Steve Wanders moved to certify and approve the canvass results; Chair Supervisor Mark Groenendyk seconded the motion. Members present — Groenendyk, Wanders and Chuck Webb — voted aye. The board recorded the motion as carried.
The certification formalizes the county's official tally from the June 2 primary. No further action on the election was recorded at the meeting.
