Calipatria Unified Board members approved three operational plans on Feb. 11: the district’s Comprehensive School Safety Plan for 2026–27, the 2025–26 Instructional Continuity Plan and the 2025–26 Transportation Plan.
Dr. Liliann Patterson, assistant superintendent, told trustees that staff are conducting meetings and trainings to improve emergency preparedness and response. The Comprehensive School Safety Plan (Education Code 32286, 32288 cited in the packet) was reviewed and approved following discussion of site-level trainings. Separate motions approved the Instructional Continuity Plan and the Transportation Plan; each passed by roll call with six ayes and one absent.
Trustees flagged follow-up tasks including continued training, posting of plans to the district website and coordination with site administrators. The approved plans are available in the meeting packet posted on the district website.
