Trustees adopt multiple policy revisions and accept a large packet of first‑reading items

At the Feb. 11 meeting the Calipatria Unified Board of Trustees adopted a set of revised board policies, administrative regulations and exhibits and waived the second reading.
The adopted items included BP/AR 0450 (Comprehensive Safety Plan), BP/AR 1340 (Access to District Records), BP/AR 1445 (Response to Immigration Enforcement), BP/AR 5125 (Student Records), BP/AR 5125.1 (Release of Directory Information), and Exhibit 5125.1‑E(1). Trustee Raul Navarro moved adoption and Trustee Holly Widmann seconded; the motion passed by roll call with six ayes and one absent.
Separately the board accepted a longer list of policies and regulations for first reading (including BP 1000, BP/AR 1114 and BP 2120 among others); those items will return for further consideration. The full revised policies are available through the district packet posted online.
