Trimble said the application focuses on retention and supporting team members and stated "the commitment on the program is to retain 500 existing permanent full time jobs at the facility through the program." County staff noted the state's enterprise-zone designation requires documentation that at least 35% of affected employees are residents of the enterprise zone; Tyson indicated it can provide audited maps and verification for that requirement. After discussion, the court approved the resolution to sponsor Tyson's application so the company can submit for state incentives.
