After executive session, Weatherford board approves hires, transfers and extra-duty pay lists

Following an executive session Aug. 12, Weatherford Public Schools approved hiring recommendations across Exhibits A–D and adopted Extra Duty lists (Exhibit E), which include detailed athletic and extracurricular stipends.
After convening to executive session under 25 O.S. §307(B)(1) to discuss personnel, the Weatherford Public Schools Board returned to open session and approved Superintendent recommendations to hire support personnel (Exhibit A), certified staff on temporary contracts (Exhibit B), transfers (Exhibit C) and adjunct certified personnel (Exhibit D). Each motion passed unanimously.
The board also approved the Extra Duty Lists for 2024–2025 (Exhibit E), which include detailed athletic and extracurricular stipends. The Extra Duty/athletics master lists in the meeting packet show itemized positions and past-year and proposed stipends; SEG 008 lists an athletics total figure of $239,450 and SEG 012 lists a total of $243,370 for other extra-duty items. Motions to approve Exhibits A–E were made by various board members and each passed 5–0.
