Weatherford board approves $690,444 in encumbrances, accepts multiple resignations

The Weatherford Public Schools Board of Education on Aug. 12 unanimously approved a consent agenda that included General Fund encumbrances #136–#334 totaling $564,002.95, Building Fund encumbrances #14–#36 totaling $92,460.03, and Child Nutrition Fund encumbrances #20–#36 totaling $33,980.68.
The consent agenda also acknowledged multiple resignations and retirements across the district, including paraprofessionals at East Intermediate and Burcham, a custodian at WECC, teachers at East Intermediate and WMS, and a bus driver. The motion to approve the consent agenda was made by Dennis Green and seconded by Bryan Bayless; the board recorded a 5–0 vote in favor. The minutes show the board also approved routine fund transfers and activity sub-accounts for the 2024–2025 school year.
