The Somerset County Commission on Sept. 18 authorized posting for a Deputy Jail Administrator and approved hiring Shenantoah Bailey as a corrections officer at the county jail.
Resolution 24-185 authorized the job posting; Resolution 24-186 approved the hire of Shenantoah Bailey. Both motions were moved by Commissioner Seekins, seconded by Commissioner Stetkis and carried 5-0. Commissioners did not provide additional conditions or discussion for the hire; the posting authorization directs the jail administration to begin recruitment for the deputy administrator position.
County staff will proceed with the posting and complete standard hiring paperwork for the approved corrections officer position.
