Commissioners approve hires as sheriff reports training, though boarding revenue lags early FY budget

Sheriff Dale Lancaster reported 500 calls for duty in the past week and said three deputies have begun academy training. He also told commissioners that boarding-prisoner revenue is running below budget for the first two months of the fiscal year. Chief Michael Mitchell reported that five corrections officers graduated from academy training the prior Thursday.
