Commission accepts Loiseau Construction bid for road grinding; bridge opened near Montrose

The McCook County Commission approved a bid from Loiseau Construction of Flandreau to supply milling/reclaiming equipment with operator for the county's road grinding project on 245th Street. The acceptance followed Highway Superintendent Travis Raap’s recommendation and a multi-bid process that included Steve Beylund Construction and Melvin Miller Construction.
Raap also reported that Bridge #44-180-068 on 448th Ave, north of Montrose, had been opened the same morning. He told the board the county will replace regulatory signs installed in 2016 over four years at about $19,000 per year, purchasing signs from Lyle Signs.
