Keane told members the project is moving funds back from the MSBA and that there are about "$1,100,000 in claims that are out there that we're still working through with Suffolk and the trade partners." He said owner and construction contingencies have been used in part and that the team has identified roughly $9,000,000 remaining after some savings from a buyout and reduced soil removal costs.
Committee members asked whether new change orders or surprises could still affect schedule or budget; Keane and Suffolk answered that the major subsurface and demolition risks are largely complete and that remaining work is primarily finishes, though unknowns could still arise. No new formal motion on funding was made; the committee proceeded to vote separately on BRR No. 6 later in the meeting.
