Calipatria Unified trustees elect board officers, adopt 2026 meeting calendar

Pursuant to Board Bylaw 9122, the Board appointed Superintendent Angelita V. Ortiz to serve as secretary to the Board. The Board also selected a district representative to the Imperial Valley Regional Occupational Program board and adopted the district's 2026 meeting calendar. All reorganization motions passed by roll call votes of 7 ayes.
Board members described the reorganization as routine. The minutes record that Trustee Raul Navarro declined an additional nomination referenced during the clerk discussion. The IVROP representative will attend meetings on the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 a.m. in El Centro, per the agenda information. The newly adopted calendar will be posted and available as the district's official meeting schedule for 2026.
