Commissioners approve grant-funded investigator for Panhandle auto burglary task force

A task-force representative said the grant covers salary, benefits and related costs and noted the board had discussed seeking additional contributions from Randall County; the court approved the headcount but acknowledged the hire remains contingent on grant funding and any interjurisdictional cost-sharing that might materialize.
Commissioners also asked whether a vehicle would be provided; staff said the grant funds would cover equipment and benefits and confirmed the employee would be a Potter County employee on grant funding while the grant exists.
