David (county tech/IT speaker) and the county attorney explained that the policy is a starting point to require awareness and training about data types that should not be entered into web-based AI (for example, confidential or CJIS/CJI data) and that vendor products already contracted with the county (for example, Office 365 Copilot or Axon/Westlaw vendor modules) would be managed differently than public web services. The court voted 5–0 to adopt the policy and authorized IT to implement approved programs subject to the policy.
