Grant-funded safety upgrades approved for courthouse; board schedules supplemental budget hearing

Auditor Echo Steffensen asked that the board schedule a supplemental budget hearing for the General Building account to account for the grant and repair work; the board set the hearing for June 4, 2026. The board also reviewed two estimates from Beecher Home Services and voted to accept the estimate to replace ceilings in third-floor offices (motion by Spilde, second by Lundquist). The board deferred painting the sheriff's lower level pending a later decision.
The minutes do not include a contract number, the detailed scope of work beyond the listed items, or a construction schedule. The Emergency Manager also reported a separate estimate for a windshield gasket repair on an Emergency Management vehicle and was asked to check for a recall with a Ford dealer prior to approving the repair.
