Kingsbury County approves Factor 360 estimate to migrate county website to .gov domain

Caryn Hojer, the county's IT Coordinator, presented options for bringing the county website into compliance with ADA requirements and migrating to a .gov domain. Hojer said Factor 360 (working with SecureSD) provided an estimate and initial information that the migration and ADA work could be supported; she initially estimated a cost of about $3,800 per year and later updated the Board with an estimated one-time transition cost of about $2,600 and annual costs under $1,000.
The Board voted to approve the Factor 360 estimate for migration to a .gov domain at a total cost of $3,500 (motion by Nelson, second by Lundquist; unanimous). The Board also directed Hojer to check into adding credit card payment capability on the website for Planning and Zoning fee collection.
