Emergency Manager Kristen Longville told the Board the county's annual TextMyGov allotment of 50,000 messages had been exceeded; the count stood at 51,164 messages. Longville presented purchase options — 25,000 messages for $350, 50,000 for $600, or 100,000 for $900 — and the Board voted to buy 25,000 additional messages for $350.
The motion to purchase 25,000 messages passed unanimously (motion by Nelson, second by Spilde). Longville said she believed unused messages would roll over but said she would confirm that detail with the vendor.
