City Manager Dan Jessen and Pool Manager Anna Carlson described options including resident/nonresident differentials, family season passes, punch passes and concession punch cards. Carlson said sales are up year‑to‑date and emphasized stability: "As of Tuesday, I've sold a 158 of them," she said of punch passes, and argued that major pricing changes mid‑season would harm operations and public trust. Jessen said staff recommended deciding on changes now for implementation next season and warned that moving to a partial spectator rate would be a retreat from the original policy that all entrants should pay.
After discussion, a council member moved to leave rates in place for this season and to review the financials prior to next season; the motion was amended to adopt a $2.50 spectator admission and passed on a 4–1 vote. Council directed staff to prepare a bulletized list of any proposed changes for a future vote and to present financials for an end‑of‑season review.
