Parowan adopts 2027 auditor-certified municipal tax rate

The Parowan City Council adopted the 2027 auditor-certified municipal tax rate (resolution 2026-09) at its June 11 meeting. City Manager Dan Jessen summarized the calculation and the estimated municipal revenue attributable to the city portion of property taxes: "The rate is 0.002137, and the amount of revenue that's expected to be generated is $937,001.61," he said.
Jessen explained that the municipal rate is only a portion of a homeowner's full property-tax bill, which also includes school and county levies. Councilors approved the resolution by roll-call vote.
