CDD counsel reiterates position on Corkscrew Road ownership as Village hires engineering firm to inspect streets

During the District Counsel report, Tony Pires said his opinion about ownership of the portion of Corkscrew Road west of U.S. 41 has not changed from prior review. Mr. Schultz reported the Village of Estero engaged Johnson Engineering to inspect streets and walkways to determine what needs repair and to clarify maintenance responsibilities. PSGRC President Neil Collins said the town-hall conversation will focus on the U.S. 41 intersection and the village study will include the west side of Corkscrew Road.
Mr. Pires and Mr. Krebs summarized differing stances by the county and village on ownership and maintenance responsibilities based on historical documents and memoranda; Mr. Pires said he will forward contact information for Apple Signs to Mrs. Adams for sign procurement follow-up.
