Board approves up to $15,000 for irrigation wiring and head adjustments tied to drainage project

District Engineer Charlie Krebs presented a revised scope for the Seaside & Master Drainage Project and described ancillary irrigation costs flagged during the review. Irrigation Concepts quoted $4,002.50 to repair damaged wiring and about $1,300 each to raise approximately seven to eight irrigation heads. MRI anticipates starting drainage work within two to three weeks.
On motion by Mr. Blumenthal and seconded by Mr. Schultz, the board approved the Irrigation Concepts change order to repair damaged wiring and raise seven to eight irrigation heads in a not‑to‑exceed amount of $15,000. Staff will proceed with the repairs to ensure irrigation and drainage work are coordinated with the upcoming MRI schedule.
